This page will give you a brief introduction how our podcasting system functions.


To RECORD your lecture:

Turn on the wireless microphone unit located on the classroom podium. The microphone should be attached to the lapel of your shirt, just below the neck line.

The recording of your lecture begins automatically when your allotted class time begins. The recoding of you lecture will end when you turn off the wireless microphone or when your allotted class time ends.


To pause your lecture:

To pause your recording look at the System Tray located at the lower right hand corner of the desktop.

You should see an icon that looks like an eye. See below:

Simply double click the icon and the recording application will appear as seen below:

To pause the recording, click the pause button. Click the record button to continue recording.



To LISTEN to a lecture:

From the left hand menu you can click on "Departments" to see all the departments for the current semester that are participating in the podcasting program. You can then click on a particular department to see all the courses that have podcasts. Click on the course title to show all the podcasts for that course laid out in a calendar format. You can click on a link in the daily boxes to play/save (depending on your system settings) the podcast.

To subscribe to an RSS feed for a course you can right click on on the course page and choose "Copy link/Copy Shortcut" or left click on it copy the URL from the XML page. Open up your podcast player(i.e. iTunes) and click on "Subscribe to podcast". Paste the link and click OK.
